My Life In A Nutshell:
I have an unholy fascination with license plates. Unfortunately, Missouri plates don't have much chance to generate random words. Letter, letter, number, letter, number, letter means the only words you'll get have a zero that you can pretend is an "O". (Vanity plates don't count.)
See? Unholy fascination. Who notices this kind of stuff?
I have two cats, Snickers and Widget. Snickers is fond of punching holes in paper or cardboard with her teeth. Widget prefers shredding it. Now all I need is one that collates.
I love thrift store shopping and dumpster diving. I'm currently converting someone's old front door that was chunked (a VERY solid and heavy door) into a monster bookcase. Which brings me to: I read. A LOT. If I'm not eating with someone, I have to be reading. If I've forgotten my book (which doesn't happen often), I will read the backs of sugar packets at the restaurant.
I am a member of Mensa, which means I am by definition a "genius". This comes in handy in any argument with my parents that ends in, "What were you thinking?"
However, it doesn't take a genius to figure out to turn your trash cans upside down so they don't fill up with water when it rains.
I have yet to master that one.

Grab a pass to the advance screening of JOURNEY 2 THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND on February 4th at 10AM at Wehrenberg Ronnie's 20 Cine.
In this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit "Journey to the Center of the Earth," the new 3D family adventure "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" begins when 17-year-old Sean Anderson receives a coded distress signal from a mysterious island where no island should exist. It's a place of strange life forms, mountains of gold, deadly volcanoes, and more than one astonishing secret. Unable to stop him from going, Sean's new stepfather, Hank (Dwayne Johnson), joins the quest. Together with a helicopter pilot (Luis Guzman) and his beautiful, strong-willed daughter (Vanessa Hudgens), they set out to find the island, rescue its lone inhabitant and escape before seismic shockwaves force the island under the sea and bury its treasures forever.

Remember last year when Volkswagen had the Super Bowl commercial with the little kid dressed up as Darth Vader?
This year Volkswagen already released a teaser video for this year's commercial. It features dogs barking Darth Vader's theme song from Star Wars.
I can't wait to see what they come up with for the actual commercial!
